With an energy all her own, LaToria brings an eclectic feel to the hip hop music she makes. Whether it’s a high energy anthem, or a story she’s telling accompanied by soulful melodies, she aims to display hope through her lyrics while providing an unforgettable experience. She writes about life from a Gospel centered perspective serving out what she refers to as “Grown Woman Bars”. The idea being that she is offering music from a woman’s perspective. It’s honest, vulnerable, relateable and always pointing towards truth in hopes that it will yield growth and maturity for herself as well as the listener.
Having been a performer for over 10 years, LaToria has toured nationally and internationally. She has shared stages and platforms with a variety of artists like, Matthew Schuler, Dez Duron and Brandon Chase of the hit TV show, THE VOICE, Brandon Arreaga of PRETTYMUCH , Lecrae, Derek Minor, Anita Wilson, Ellie Holcomb, Shaun Martin, Brik Liam, Tye Tribbett, Christy Nockels, Jeremy Camp, FLAME, Canton Jones and many many more.
In 2016 she was nominated for a Kingdom choice Award and was also featured by Her Source, a division of The Source Magazine, twice. Once as one of the female artists to watch at SxSW and later featuring her single So Natural. Most recently she made DJ Wade-O’s list of “12 Women Christian Hip Hop Can’t live Without” and also co wrote a song with members of The Village Church called “Walk With You” that was performed live at the MLK 50 conference in Memphis, presented by TGC and ERLC .
She has been featured on several TV programs, magazines and websites and her music and videos have been featured on radio and TV stations in various countries. Her latest music is now available on all digital outlets and she is set to release her next project, volume 2 of The Long Walk series, in 2019 which is sure to be am amazing musical journey full of highs and lows. She has remained true to her essence by artistically carving out a lane that blends the worlds of faith and culture. Her approach to hip hop is familiar yet distinct and easy to enjoy. Her passion to make an impact is evident and undeniable.
